BTS member Jimin has once again proven his global K-pop dominance by securing the title of "King of Kpop" for the sixth year in a row!
Jimin took first place in the "2024 King of Kpop" poll on King Choice, earning a whopping 596,552 votes. The poll closed on October 31, and Jimin’s victory further solidifies his position as one of the most popular and influential K-pop idols worldwide.
Since 2019, Jimin has remained at the top, winning the title each year and continuing to represent Korea as a top-tier K-pop artist. His long-standing success shows just how beloved he is by fans all over the world.
Earlier this year, Jimin also won the "Kpop Idol of the Year 2023" award at the Debeme Awards and was crowned "Most Popular Kpop Idol 2024" at the Shining Awards, reflecting his global popularity.

Jimin’s influence extends beyond polls. In 2016, he became the only BTS member featured in The Guardian's list of "30 Best Boy Band Members," and Australian music site CULTR called him the "BTS Frontman."
Additionally, since 2019, Jimin has been listed as "King of Kpop" on Urban Dictionary, further cementing his status as a K-pop legend.
Jimin also made history with his solo music. In March 2023, he released his first solo album FACE, which included the hit single "Like Crazy."
The track topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making Jimin the first Korean solo artist to achieve this milestone. His second album MUSE followed after his military enlistment, and its title track "Who" ranked 55th on the Billboard chart, setting new records for K-pop.
Known globally, Jimin was named TIME's "Most Mentioned Singer on Twitter" in 2016, and the phrase "Even if you don’t know K-pop, you know Jimin" has become a common saying. As he continues to shine as a solo artist, fans are eagerly awaiting his future music and performances following his discharge from the military.
Jimin’s continued reign as "King of Kpop" proves that his influence and popularity show no signs of slowing down!
