BTS's Jimin has once again proved his superstar status in Japan! According to a recent poll by Japanese K-pop media Danmee, Jimin was voted the most popular K-pop male idol for September 2024.
In the survey, which ran from September 17 to October 1, Jimin received 3,010 votes out of a total of 6,262, securing 48.07% of the votes and taking the top spot.
Danmee designed this poll to capture the true voices of Japanese K-pop fans, allowing each participant to vote just once.
The survey included 28 top K-pop male idols, chosen based on their activities, brand reputation, mentions on social media, and appearances in Danmee-related articles.
This win marks Jimin's 19th consecutive month holding the title, setting a new record! Danmee noted Jimin's recent achievements, highlighting his second solo album MUSE, released in July. The title track “WHO” has had strong chart results, ranking on the UK’s Official Singles Chart and the U.S. Billboard Singles Chart.
Japanese fans celebrated his achievement with comments like, “Jimin is a perfect mix of cute and sexy," "His dance, voice, and personality are unbeatable," and "We’ll always choose Jimin."
Meanwhile, Jimin's song "WHO" has been dominating charts for 15 straight weeks on both the Billboard and Official UK Charts, keeping his popularity strong as he completes his military service.
