Actress Go Min Si shared her heartfelt thoughts about winning the New Actress Award at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards, describing the experience as a dream come true. On November 6, she attended a handprinting ceremony for the awards at CGV Yeouido in Seoul, where she joined fellow stars like Lee Byung-Hun, Jung Yu-Mi, Jo In-Sung, and Jeon Yeo-Bin.
Go Min Si won the prestigious award for her role in The Drug Dealer and expressed how surreal it felt to receive such recognition. “It felt like a dream when I received the award on the stage I had always dreamed of,” she said. “It’s an honor to leave my handprint today. I’m so happy to be here with my seniors.”
She also recalled a funny moment during her acceptance speech, where fellow actor Park Jung-Min jokingly asked, “Why didn’t you mention me?” Go Min Si thanked him for his support.
The young actress was especially touched when senior actress Kim Hye-Soo congratulated her during the ceremony. “Receiving congratulations from Senior Kim Hye-Soo felt like a scene from a movie, and it made me feel like my dream had come true,” she shared. “It felt like a moment from a film that allowed me to dream another dream.”
Reflecting on her time working on The Drug Dealer, Go Min Si shared fond memories from the set. “Even when the scene wasn’t mine, I wanted to stay on set,” she said. “It was fun watching the monitor behind the director, and we all ate from the food truck together. I received many little gifts, like lunch boxes and toothbrushes. These small things helped bring the team together like a family. It was a hot and loving summer.”
Go Min Si also shared her thoughts on her future as an actress, saying, “I want to be an actress who remains curious. I believe that curiosity is what makes an actress charming. I want to keep being curious.”
The 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held on November 29 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, and will be broadcast live on KBS 2TV.
