BTS's Jimin is making waves in the music world with his solo song 'Who.' On November 2 (Korean time), the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) announced that 'Who' has sold over 200,000 copies in the UK, earning a Silver certification. This achievement showcases Jimin's global popularity and talent!
The BPI certifies singles based on digital downloads, streaming, and physical album sales. They use different levels to recognize success: Silver for over 200,000 sales, Gold for over 400,000, Platinum for over 600,000, and Multi-Platinum for over 1,200,000.
Jimin's Silver certification for 'Who' is a record for K-Pop solo artists, reaching this milestone in just 105 days since its release on July 19. This is a huge achievement for Jimin, especially since he did it all on his own without teaming up with any big-name Western artists.
In addition to this milestone, 'Who' has made its mark on the Official Singles Top 100 Chart in the UK, landing in the 50th spot and staying on the chart for 15 weeks, making it the longest-charting K-Pop solo song to date. The song also ranked 7th on both the Official Singles Download Chart and the Singles Sales Chart. It remains popular, staying at 60th on the Official Audio Streaming Chart and 62nd on the Streaming Chart.
In other news, Jimin's exhibition titled 'The Truth Untold: The Feelings I Couldn't Share' wrapped up in Myeongdong on November 3. The event attracted many visitors and took place in a large space of about 1,320 square meters. Excitingly, more events are planned for Los Angeles on November 29 and Tokyo, Japan, on January 10 next year!
