• BTS’s Jimin’s ‘Like Crazy’ Makes History as First Korean Song to Hit 1.3 Billion Streams on Spotify

BTS member Jimin has reached an incredible milestone with his song ‘Like Crazy’!

As of October 28, ‘Like Crazy’ has become the first Korean song to exceed 1.3 billion streams on Spotify, the biggest music streaming platform in the world.

This achievement marks a historic moment for K-Pop, as it is not only a record for a Korean song but also the first record for a solo track by a K-Pop artist. Jimin is making history once again!

Released in March of last year, ‘Like Crazy’ is the title track from Jimin’s first solo album, FACE. Right after it came out, the song became the first by a K-Pop solo artist to reach number one on the Spotify ‘Global Daily Top Songs’ chart and topped the Billboard Hot 100, setting records for K-Pop solos.

‘Like Crazy’ also made waves by selling over one million units in the U.S., earning RIAA Platinum certification.

It was the best-selling K-Pop song in the U.S. in 2023 and achieved double platinum status in August, surpassing two million units sold.

The song holds the record for the longest stay on the Spotify ‘U.S. Daily Top Songs’ chart for a K-Pop solo artist, staying on the chart for 268 days and achieving over 114 million filtered streams, which is the highest for a K-Pop song.

It also spent 61 weeks on the Billboard ‘Global 200’ and 68 weeks on the ‘Global (Excluding U.S.)’ chart, leaving a major mark in K-Pop history.

‘Like Crazy’ is a significant track as it was co-written and co-composed by Jimin and is the first K-Pop solo song to exceed 1 billion streams on Spotify.

It ranks as the 9th most streamed song on Spotify in 2023, making it the only Korean song in the top 10, further proving its popularity.
