• Min Hee Jin Reveals That BTS's V Texted Her on Her Birthday, Sparks Controversy with Military Complaint

Min Hee Jin, the former CEO of ADOR, recently shared a touching story about her friendship with BTS's V (Kim Taehyung), which has led to some controversy.

On October 29, during a live stream on Kim Young Dae’s School of Music, Min Hee Jin revealed that she received a heartfelt message from V after a press conference related to her conflict with HYBE.

She said, "V sometimes calls me from the military. He calls me so often that I sometimes wonder, ‘Are you really in the military?’ He’s a really cheerful and bright friend. Even during my tough times, he checked on me, saying, ‘Are you okay, noona?’"

She continued, "On my birthday, he even texted me early in the morning while he was serving. He’s so warm and kind; it really touched me."

Min Hee Jin expressed her appreciation for V's support and how he shows her true self to the world, saying, "I thought, ‘Is it okay to be so open?’ I held back a lot back then, but he was very personal with me."

However, the situation became controversial after a complaint was filed with the Ministry of National Defense. An individual claimed that V texted Min Hee Jin on December 16, 2023, just five days after his enlistment on December 11.

They argued that this could be a serious violation of military rules, suggesting that he might have received special treatment because he is a famous K-pop star.

Netizens have reacted with mixed feelings. Some questioned whether V had used the scheduling feature on his phone, while others wondered if there was confusion about his actual birthday versus his profile birthday.

Comments ranged from “He might have mixed up the timing” to “That wasn’t a helpful comment for V.” The situation highlights the challenges celebrities face while serving in the military, especially when it comes to maintaining friendships and public expectations.
