• BTS V's 'Love Me Again' Hits 900 Million Streams on Spotify as Most Streamed B-side Track

BTS's V has reached a huge milestone with his song "Love Me Again," which has now surpassed 900 million streams on Spotify. This pre-release track from his solo album Layover is making waves on the world's biggest streaming platform.

"Love Me Again" is the first B-side track in K-pop history to achieve over 700 million streams on the global Spotify charts. It has also made history as the only B-side solo track in K-pop to stay on the charts for over 400 days, currently holding strong at 445 days.

The song mixes a 1970s soul sound with gospel and jazz elements in the R&B genre, creating a rich listening experience. V's rhythmic and emotional vocals add a special touch that sets it apart from other K-pop tracks.

The American music magazine Consequence of Sound praised "Love Me Again" in The 2023 K-POP Yearbook, saying it balances pop and R&B sounds while showcasing V's rich baritone. They called it "the most breathtaking single." All songs from V's album Layover, including "Love Me Again," became the first K-pop solo album to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify. Plus, it made history as the first album by an Asian solo artist to sell over 100,000 units in the U.S.

Layover has topped the iTunes album charts in 110 countries, making it the best-performing album released since 2020.

The British music magazine NME described V's debut album as "an attractive result that has endured a rigorous validation process, focusing more on artistic choices than commercial ones." They also mentioned, "Though there was a long wait, it was well worth it." With this first solo album, V has firmly established himself as a solo artist, achieving both artistic and commercial success.
