SEVENTEEN, the popular boy group consisting of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino, is shining bright with their global success! On October 29, the Japan Record Association announced that their hit song "Very NICE" has received 'Platinum' certification after exceeding 100 million streams as of September. This song, which was the title track of their first repackage album released in 2016, captures the joy of spending a day with someone special.
"Very NICE" has become a fan favorite and is often chosen as the encore song during SEVENTEEN's concerts. It has remained loved for eight years and even wowed audiences at the UK's Glastonbury Festival and Germany's Lollapalooza Berlin this year!
SEVENTEEN now has a total of 12 songs that have earned 'Gold' and 'Platinum' streaming certifications. This impressive list includes "Cheers," "I Don't Wanna Cry," "Pretty U," "Left & Right," "Ready to Love," "Rock With You," "HIT," "Hot," "Dar+ling," and "Clap."
Their mini-album SPILL THE FEELS, released on October 14, is also making waves in Japan. It recorded the highest first-week sales for a foreign artist this year and topped the latest Oricon weekly album rankings, along with Billboard Japan's 'Hot Albums,' 'Top Album Sales,' and 'Artist 100.'
In North America, the response has been just as exciting. SPILL THE FEELS debuted at No. 5 on the latest 'Billboard 200,' making SEVENTEEN the first K-pop group to have six consecutive albums in the Billboard 200 top 10!
SEVENTEEN will keep the momentum going with their world tour SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR. They have already sold out four performances in Rosemont and New York and will be performing in Texas on October 31 and November 1, then in Oakland on November 5-6, and Los Angeles on November 9-10. Fans can expect amazing performances as SEVENTEEN showcases their talent in major venues across Japan and Asia!
