The Korea Management Federation has shared their concerns about the ongoing situation with FIFTY FIFTY. On the 25th, they released a statement addressing the recent tampering incident involving ATTRAKT, the group’s management company.
The federation said, "We recognize how serious the tampering issue is and are very concerned. Tampering is illegal and goes against fair contracts, damaging trust in the entertainment industry. It is very regrettable that three former members of FIFTY FIFTY, who were involved in this tampering, are trying to resume their activities as if nothing happened while avoiding responsibility by signing contracts with other agencies."
They added, "This behavior goes against basic contract ethics and common sense. It seriously harms the trust of everyone involved. Especially troubling is the artist who led the tampering, trying to ignore existing contracts and start working again. This is unethical and greatly undermines trust in the entertainment industry."
The federation stressed, "We take this situation very seriously and condemn attempts to illegally cancel contracts through tampering. We urge all artists to be responsible for their actions and follow their legal and ethical obligations. Additionally, we will strengthen legal measures to prevent harm caused by tampering and take action to ensure these issues do not happen again."
Previously, on the 23rd, ATTRAKT announced they had filed a lawsuit seeking 20 billion won in damages against Jin, a former representative of Warner Music Korea, and Yoon, a former executive director, over allegations of tampering before the expiration of contracts.
