• aespa's Karina and Byeon Woo Seok Stuck in Cars as Prada Event was Canceled Due to Safety Concerns

The Prada event planned for October 24 was canceled due to a large crowd gathering, following a request from the Seongdong District Office. On the 25th, Seongdong District Chief Jeong Won-oh explained, “Since 7 PM on the 24th, our officials and the police have been monitoring the area. However, safety concerns due to crowd density increased. We decided we could not continue with the event and asked the organizers to end it voluntarily.”

He added, “The event was held near a city bus garage, which causes heavy traffic during rush hours. After discussions with the police and other officials, we requested the brand to cancel the event. Thankfully, they agreed quickly, and no one was injured.”

The event was meant to celebrate “Prada: The Sound of Prada” in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong District. Many celebrities were expected to attend, including Jeon Somi, TWICE’s Sana, aespa’s Karina, Kim Tae Ri, NCT 127’s Jaehyun, ENHYPEN members (Jungwon, Heeseung, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, and Niki), Byeon Woo Seok, and more.

However, videos from fans at the scene showed chaos as fans tried to catch a glimpse of the stars, creating a messy situation with cars returning home. Security and police struggled to manage the crowd, leading to some vehicle collisions and city buses halting their routes.

Reports say that some stars, including Byeon Woo Seok and Karina, were unable to leave their cars. Karina even used a fan platform to tell fans, “Don’t wait, go home.” Other stars waiting nearby also couldn’t enter the venue.

To prevent further crowd issues ahead of Halloween, the Seongdong District Office announced it would set up a situation room from October 25 to November 1, operating until 2 AM.
