SEVENTEEN has once again proven their popularity in Japan! The group (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) took the No. 1 spot on Japan's Oricon Weekly Album Ranking with their 12th mini-album, SPILL THE FEELS.
On October 22, Oricon revealed that SEVENTEEN's new mini-album sold 410,000 copies during the week of October 14 to 20, securing the top spot on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking for the week ending on October 28. This marks their 13th time topping the chart, breaking their previous record set with 17 IS RIGHT HERE, which sold 333,000 copies. It’s also the highest weekly album sales by an international artist in Japan this year.
SEVENTEEN has now earned nine consecutive No. 1 spots on Oricon since their 9th mini-album Attacca in 2021, setting a new record for international artists.
Not only is SPILL THE FEELS performing well in Japan, but it’s also making waves worldwide. In just the first week, the album sold over 3.16 million copies, becoming the K-pop album with the highest first-week sales in 2023. SEVENTEEN also topped the Oricon Daily Album Ranking four times with their latest release.
The title track "LOVE, MONEY, FAME" (featuring DJ Khaled) has been dominating major Korean music charts like Melon and Bugs since its release. With the music video for "Eyes on You" dropped on October 21, fans around the world are eagerly diving into the rest of the album.
SEVENTEEN is about to kick off their world tour, starting with performances in Rosemont on October 22-23. They’ll be performing in five U.S. cities, including New York, Texas, Oakland, and Los Angeles, as part of their "SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR."
They’ll also be heading to Japan for a dome tour, with shows planned in Aichi’s Vantelin Dome Nagoya, Tokyo Dome, Kyocera Dome Osaka, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome in November and December.
