• BTS V's 'Friends' Tops 385 Million Streams, Continues Global Success

    BTS V's song "Friends" has reached a huge milestone on Spotify, with over 385 million streams, proving its lasting popularity.

    This track, which V gifted to fans while serving in the military, dropped on March 15 and has been gaining attention ever since.

    When it first came out, "Friends" debuted at No. 65 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, No. 3 on the Billboard Global (excluding U.S.), and No. 5 on the Global 200.

    It also entered the UK Official Singles Chart at No. 13 and hit No. 3 on the UK's Official Big Top 40 after just two days of tracking. The song stayed on the chart for five straight weeks.

    The track topped the Worldwide iTunes and European iTunes charts and became the first song in 2024 to hit No. 1 in 100 countries. It has now reached No. 1 in 102 countries.

    In Spotify's mid-year review for 2024, "Friends" was the most-streamed K-pop solo song and made it into the top 10 longest-charting K-pop solo songs on the global Spotify chart, further showing how powerful the song is.

    The music video for "Friends," which was filmed in the UK, also caught a lot of attention. After its release, it topped YouTube’s World Trending Music section for 14 days straight. On Tidal, it hit No. 1 on the "Top Video" chart in 23 countries and became the first K-pop artist's music video to top the U.S. Tidal Top Video chart.

    The "Friends" music video was praised for its creativity and technical excellence, earning a nomination for "Best Pop International" at the 2024 UK Music Video Awards (UKMVA).

  • BTS Jin's 'Running Wild' Soars to No. 1 on Spotify Japan, Hits Global Top 10

    BTS member Jin is taking the world by storm with his hit song Running Wild.

    Released on November 15, Running Wild is the title track from Jin's first solo album, Happy. The song blends a fresh new wave sound with British rock influences and pop rock elements, catching the attention of fans worldwide.

    On November 21, Running Wild reached the top spot on Spotify Japan's Daily Top Songs chart, showing its massive popularity.

    It also ranked No. 2 on the Spotify Top Songs chart in Korea and No. 6 globally, proving its broad appeal.

    Jin’s solo album Happy has also been a huge success. It sold over 219,000 copies on its first day, making it the third-highest album sales for a K-pop solo artist in Oricon Weekly Album Chart history.

    In just three days, Happy reached No. 1 on the Hanteo Country-by-Country Chart in Japan for the third week of November, solidifying Jin's status as a top global artist.
