• EXO's Xiumin Throws First Pitch in Game 4

The LG Twins are excited to have EXO's Xiumin as their special guest for the ceremonial first pitch! On the 18th, the team announced that Xiumin will throw the first pitch for the 4th game of the 2024 KBO League playoffs against the Samsung Lions at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.

Xiumin is known as an 'E-Lin,' a dedicated fan who has cheered for the LG Twins since he was a kid. This isn't his first time on the mound; he previously threw the first pitch at LG home games in 2015 and 2017.

In a statement through the LG organization, Xiumin shared his excitement: "This is my third time throwing the first pitch for the LG Twins, and it is truly an honor to do so in such an important game as an E-Lin. I hope my pitch contributes even a little to LG's victory, and I will cheer hard for the team."

Just a day before, on the 17th, national judo athlete Kim Min-jong, also an 'E-Lin,' threw the first pitch for the playoff game against Samsung. Kim Min-jong, who earned a silver medal in the men's heavyweight category at the 2024 Paris Olympics, reminisced, "I came to watch LG Twins games with my uncle when I was in elementary school, and that’s when I became an E-Lin."

On that exciting day, the LG Twins celebrated a big win, defeating Samsung 1-0. This victory was a much-needed boost after two straight losses in the series. Fans are thrilled to see Xiumin throw the first pitch and are hopeful that his support will inspire the team as they aim for success in the playoffs!

  • Former Crayon Pop's ChoA Opens Up About Her Struggle with Cervical Cancer: 'I Dream of the Day I Can Have a Drink with My Husband Again'"

ChoA, former member of the girl group Crayon Pop, has bravely shared her ongoing battle with cervical cancer and her emotional journey.

On January 28, ChoA posted a heartfelt update on her social media, explaining her struggles. "I usually laugh, talk, and live my life as usual, but there are moments when I suddenly face a reality that isn’t like before, and it gets tough," she shared.

She went on to say, "Recently, something difficult happened, and in the past, I would have had a drink with my husband to shake it off. I really miss being able to do that."

ChoA admitted that she still can’t fully believe her diagnosis. "When I face the reality I’ve been avoiding, my heart that I’ve built up breaks down," she said. "But the life I’m living now, which I’m still enjoying, is something that someone else might be wishing for. I try to gather my thoughts again with gratitude."

She also expressed hope for the future, saying, "Lately, I dream of a day five years from now when I’ll be declared cancer-free and be able to have a drink with my husband after putting the kids to bed, after all the struggles. It’s been almost two years, so I believe the day I get that clean bill of health will come soon."

ChoA married a businessman in 2021, six years older than her. In October 2023, she revealed her cervical cancer diagnosis, sharing that she had been diagnosed during a routine check-up in her first year of marriage.

Despite everything, ChoA remains hopeful, noting that the cancer was smaller than expected during surgery, and she was able to preserve her fertility—a step closer to her dream of becoming a mother.
