BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) is showing just how popular his solo album, Layover LP, is by selling out in the United States!
As pre-orders keep coming in for the Layover LP, set to release on October 18, it sold out on October 3 at the "BTS USA Official Store."
Just two days later, it also sold out at the "Weverse Official US Store." Target's website reported a sell-out on October 2, showing the album's high demand.
The Layover LP first went on pre-sale on major online and offline stores in the U.S. on August 20. It sold out at Target quickly on August 25.
Then, on September 3, it sold out at Tower Records, a well-known music store in the U.S., and Record Stop, a record shop in New York.
At Walmart, the LP became a bestseller, selling out on September 24 and moving into its second pre-sale phase. It is also the top seller in the K-Pop category on Amazon.
The excitement isn’t just in the U.S.! The album sold out in the UK on September 1 at major record retailers like the "BTS Official UK Store," Polydor, Record Store UK, and The Sound of Vinyl.
In Japan, it sold out just one day after pre-orders began on August 21 at the "BTS Official Japan Store" and Universal Music Japan, with multiple sell-outs after restocks.
According to the "Daily Album Ranking" chart by Oricon in Japan, the Layover LP debuted at No. 1 upon its release. It also topped the import album sales ranking and the latest import album sales ranking on Amazon Japan.
In South Korea, it is also making waves, ranking No. 1 in the real-time bestseller category for CD/LP on the online sales platform Yes24, while Aladin reported it as the overall bestseller. V’s Layover is truly a hot hit!
