On the final episode of JTBC’s My Name is Gabrielle, BLACKPINK member Jennie gave a witty reply to some classic mom advice.
Aired on October 4th, the episode showed Jennie wrapping up her time as Maria, the owner of a cozy bed and breakfast in a rural village in Italy.
During the show, Jennie approached some guests who were sunbathing in the garden and asked, “Are you enjoying the sunshine? I think I can make you a drink. How about a Spritz?”
Jennie shared that making the drink was something special to her. “This was something I really wanted to do. I wanted to make a Spritz after learning the recipe from my mom,” she explained.
As she headed to the kitchen, Jennie couldn’t help but mutter, “I’m so envious.” MC Defconn caught this moment and asked, “What are you envious of?” Jennie smiled and revealed, “I honestly thought a lot about how I’d love to be a guest here. It’s just so nice,” showing how much she had fallen in love with the place.
Later, Jennie spent some time relaxing and sipping the Spritz she made with the male guests. But her peaceful moment was interrupted when Maria’s mom called her to help with preparations.
As her mom nagged her, saying, “Don’t play around with the boys,” Jennie coolly replied, “It’s my life,” causing everyone in the studio to burst into laughter.
Jennie added, “It really felt like I was talking to my own mom,” showing how much she connected with the character of Maria during her time on the show. Fans couldn’t get enough of Jennie’s playful yet confident attitude!
