WayV has once again topped the Oricon chart in Japan! The group confirmed their popularity by reaching number one on the Oricon Weekly Combined Album Chart for the week of September 23-29 with their first Japanese mini-album, The Highest, released on September 25.
WayV previously claimed the number one spot on the Oricon Daily Album Chart for two days in a row (September 28 and 29) and also topped the Weekly Album Chart for the week of September 23-29, achieving a double crown on the Oricon Weekly Chart right after their local debut.
The Oricon Weekly Combined Album Chart ranks albums based on physical sales, digital downloads, streaming counts, and more. This shows WayV's strong presence in both physical and digital music markets.
Their mini-album, The Highest, features a total of six tracks, including the title song "Go Higher." This track has a West Coast hip-hop vibe and expresses WayV's ambition to color the world with their unique style and rise even higher.
Meanwhile, WayV is currently enjoying their first solo concert tour, which started in August. They will continue performing on October 5 at Jakarta's Istora Senayan.
