Actor Lee Do Hyun has made a surprise appearance in Belgium!
On October 3 (local time), Lee Do Hyun attended a military band performance in a park in Brussels. He is currently serving in the Air Force military band.
The event featured around 50 military band members and about 10 dancers from the National Heritage Promotion Agency, all set up as a busking performance. Despite not being heavily promoted, the show attracted around 300 people.
During the performance,Lee Do Hyun and the band played various genres, including traditional Korean music and K-pop, for about an hour. He didn’t just play his part in the band; he also co-hosted the event, showing off his hidden singing skills that impressed the crowd.
After the show, Lee Do Hyun shared with Yonhap News, "This is my first time in Europe. Although the performance content was scripted, I was genuinely worried whether the audience would connect with the music since I am not familiar with Belgian culture. However, I was surprised and grateful that they enjoyed our performance much more than I expected."
Lee Do Hyun was also invited to the international competition section of the Brussels International Film Festival this year for his movie The Burial, which attracted around 11.91 million viewers.
On October 5 and 6, he will take part in the 11th Belgium International Military Music Festival held in the port city of Ostend.
