BTS’s Jungkook Makes History as the First K-Pop Soloist to Hit 3 Billion Streams on Spotify in 2024

BTS’s Jungkook continues to prove his worldwide popularity by surpassing 3 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, the largest music streaming platform.

In just around nine months this year, Jungkook hit the 3 billion streams mark (before filtering) on Spotify. This makes him the first K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone in 2024.

Recently, Jungkook also set another impressive record by reaching 1.9 billion streams in the shortest time for any Asian artist on Spotify with his solo hit “Seven.”

Adding to his list of achievements, Jungkook became the first K-pop solo artist to have two songs, “Seven” and “Left And Right,” surpass 1 billion streams each on Spotify. Both songs are now featured in Spotify’s “Billions Club” playlist, and Jungkook has received two commemorative plaques for this accomplishment.

Jungkook also became the first and only Asian solo artist to have three songs with over 900 million streams on Spotify.

Including all his credits, Jungkook’s Spotify account has surpassed 7.1 billion cumulative streams (before filtering), making him the fastest K-pop artist and the first soloist to do so. His debut solo album, GOLDEN, also set a new record as the first album by an Asian solo artist and the fastest studio album by an Asian artist to reach 4.3 billion streams (before filtering) on Spotify.
