• The lawsuit for reappointing ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin begins on October

A legal battle over the reappointment of Min Hee Jin as ADOR's CEO is set to begin on October 11.

According to reports, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 50 will hold a hearing for the lawsuit filed by Min Hee Jin against HYBE. She’s requesting to block HYBE from using their voting rights in the company.

This comes after ADOR’s board of directors removed Min Hee Jin as CEO on September 27, naming Kim Joo-young as her replacement. However, they clarified that Min Hee Jin would stay on as an internal director and continue leading NewJeans’ production activities.

Min Hee Jin didn’t take this lightly. She called the decision “unfair” and quickly filed for an injunction to hold a special shareholders' meeting, aiming to regain her role as CEO.

Members of NewJeans also voiced their support for her, asking for her return by September 25 during a YouTube Live session.

Min Hee Jin argued that removing her as CEO went against the shareholder agreement with HYBE and contradicted a previous court decision that restricted HYBE from using their voting rights. She further claimed, “HYBE is insisting that the shareholder agreement ended without any real reason. It’s clear they don’t plan to reappoint me as an internal director under these conditions.” She also accused HYBE of “violating contracts, interfering with business, and damaging her reputation.”

Back in May, the court sided with Min Hee Jin, stopping HYBE from using its voting rights. The court explained that while she had explored ways to run ADOR independently, she hadn’t broken any trust with the company. Given the situation, the court decided to block HYBE’s voting rights to ensure fairness.

The hearing on October 11 will be the next major step in this ongoing legal battle.
