• BTS Jimin's "Who" Climbs Back into UK Top 40, Hits 10 Consecutive Weeks on Official Singles Chart

    BTS's Jimin continues to make waves on the global music scene with his solo track "Who" from his second album MUSE. The track has been steadily climbing back up the UK Official Singles Chart for two consecutive weeks.

    As of September 27, "Who" landed at No. 40 on the chart, marking its 10th consecutive week. This sets a new personal record for Jimin, making "Who" the longest-charting solo song by a BTS member on the UK chart.

    The track showed a strong upward trend, jumping from No. 52 in its 8th week to No. 50 in the 9th week, and an impressive 10-spot leap to No. 40 in its 10th week. It also re-entered the top 40 for the first time in six weeks, after previously hitting No. 32 in August.

    "Who" isn’t just making waves on the UK chart. The song soared 17 spots on the "Single Downloads" chart and 18 spots on the "Single Sales" chart, landing at No. 7 on both. It also made significant gains on the "Audio Streaming" and "Streaming" charts, ranking No. 35 and No. 37, respectively.

    On Spotify, Jimin’s "Who" ranked No. 3 on the "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart (September 20-26), while his album MUSE claimed the No. 8 spot on the "Weekly Top Albums Global" chart, both holding strong for 10 consecutive weeks. Additionally, "Who" placed at No. 3 on the "Daily Top Songs Global" chart for September 26, remaining in the top 10 for a remarkable 70 straight days.

    Other BTS members have also been seeing success on global charts. RM’s feature on Megan Thee Stallion’s "Neva Play (feat. RM)" ranked at No. 102 on the "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart. Jungkook’s singles "Seven (feat. Latto)" and GOLDEN's title track "Standing Next to You" saw jumps to No. 33 and No. 93 on the "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart. V's "Love Me Again," from Layover, came in at No. 132.

    In the "Weekly Top Albums Global" chart, Jungkook's GOLDEN held No. 23, while BTS's Proof secured No. 63, proving that BTS members are continuing to dominate charts as both solo artists and as a group.

The "ddongcha" theory has been a subject of online debate for years, with many viewers critiquing Hyun Jin-heon’s character as overly arrogant and entitled.

    Hyun Bin, who first rose to fame in My Name is Kim Sam-soon, took the time to reflect on the character that made him a household name. He shared, “I was just following the script; there were no personal opinions added to the character of Hyun Jin-heon. At that time, I knew Hyun Jin-heon was portrayed as a ‘bad boy,’ and the way it was expressed was different from today’s standards.”

    With My Name is Kim Sam-soon now being re-released as part of Wavve's "New Classic" project, fans are revisiting the 2005 drama, and the character of Hyun Jin-heon is under fresh scrutiny. Director Kim Yun-cheol even admitted that the "prince on a white horse" and "bad boy" tropes that once worked in 2005 don’t quite match today's sensibilities, leading to edits in the 2024 version.

    Hyun Bin humbly acknowledged his gratitude for his successful career and hit works, saying, "It’s wonderful and I am grateful to have so many hit works. I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing writers, directors, and actors. Thanks to them, I’ve received a lot of attention and love." He also shared a sense of humility, noting, “But I never know when that luck will come again."

    Despite the dramatic shift in perspective on his character, Hyun Bin’s charm and dedication remain strong. Fans are eager to see him in his upcoming film Harbin (directed by Woo Min-ho), set to be released on the 24th.
