New HYBE Girl Group KATSEYE Quickly Rises on Billboard and Melon Charts with “Touch”

HYBE and Geffen Records’ global girl group KATSEYE is making waves on music charts in the U.S. and Korea!

On September 24, the latest U.S. Billboard charts (dated September 28) showed that KATSEYE‘s (Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, Yoon Chae) debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong) is gaining serious attention.

Their title track “Touch” ranked 125th on the “Global Excl. U.S.” chart and 153rd on the “Global 200” chart, which both track streaming and sales data from over 200 countries. This marks a jump of 19 and 6 spots, respectively, from the previous week.

Their EP also did well on the “Top Current Album Sales” chart, coming in at 27th, and 30th on the “Top Album Sales” chart.

Riding on this success, KATSEYE ranked 7th on the “Emerging Artists” chart. The group has stayed in the top ranks for five weeks, ever since debuting at No. 1 on August 31.

KATSEYE’s song “Touch” is also rising on Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global” chart, reaching 86th place on September 22, up by 18 spots from the previous day. Since first appearing on the chart at 198th on August 27, the track has been steadily climbing into the top 100.

In Korea, the song is making an impact too, landing at 21st on Melon’s “Hot 100” chart on September 23.

KATSEYE was formed through the global audition show The Debut: Dream Academy, which had 120,000 applicants. The group recently finished a successful promotion tour in Asia, with stops in Korea, the Philippines, and Japan.
