• ADOR Refuses NewJeans' Ultimatum, Says "Min Hee Jin Won't Return as CEO"

ADOR has officially responded to NewJeans' (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) ultimatum about bringing back former CEO Min Hee Jin.

On September 25th, ADOR shared, "The board of directors met today and decided to hold a shareholders' meeting to reappoint Director Min Hee Jin as an internal director. But her return as CEO is not possible at this time."

This decision comes after the NewJeans members made a bold demand during a live broadcast on the 11th, which wasn't accepted by ADOR or its parent company, HYBE.

During the broadcast, the members said, "Please, stop interfering any further. Bring back CEO Min Hee Jin and return ADOR to its original state, with people we know, not strangers. We aren’t asking for more than that. Everyone should do their own jobs well.".

They added, "We want ADOR back, with Min Hee Jin as CEO, handling both management and production. HYBE, please restore ADOR to how it was by the 25th."

Back in April, HYBE had filed a complaint against then-CEO Min Hee Jin, accusing her of breach of trust. By the end of August, Kim Joo Young was appointed as the new CEO of ADOR.

At the time, ADOR explained, "Former CEO Min Hee Jin will step down but continue as an internal director, overseeing NewJeans' production." However, Min Hee Jin's team argued that the decision was "illegal and violated the shareholder agreement."

After the members' live broadcast, NewJeans and their parents met with the new CEO, Kim Joo Young, to repeat their demand for Min Hee Jin's return as CEO. But ADOR stood firm, stating it was "unacceptable."

ADOR also said, "On the morning of September 11th, we offered Director Min Hee Jin the role of leading NewJeans' production for the next five years, which matches the length of the group’s contract. We’ve given her all guarantees about her position, duration, and authority, and we hope to negotiate specific terms soon."

They also confirmed that detailed responses to the board meeting's discussions and other inquiries were sent to the members via email.
