• BABYMONSTER Starts Filming Music Video for First Full-Length Album—YG Calls It a "Mega Project"

YG Entertainment's new girl group BABYMONSTER is gearing up to film the music video for their first full-length album!

On September 23rd, YG Entertainment announced, "We will be producing several music videos for BABYMONSTER's first full-length album, set to release this fall, including the title track." The group will be filming at various locations, showing the strong support for this exciting project.

This move shows the confidence of YG’s Chief Producer Yang Hyun Suk in BABYMONSTER, the next-generation girl group. YG is determined to promote and highlight many songs from the album, especially the title track.

YG stated, "The recording for BABYMONSTER's first album is complete, and we are in the finishing stages. The choreography for several songs that will have music videos has also been completed."

BABYMONSTER previously confirmed that all seven members would officially debut on April 1 with their first mini-album, "BABYMONS7ER." The music video for their title track "SHEESH" set a record as the fastest debut song by a K-pop girl group to reach 100 million views in just 10 days.

It’s now close to 296 million views, with 300 million in sight. The choreography video has also gained huge popularity, surpassing 150 million views.

The group's rising fame comes from their focus on the live performance skills of all seven members rather than just traditional promotion. Although "SHEESH" didn't make a big impact on charts at first, the members' incredible live abilities helped the song climb to the top ranks over time.

To build excitement for the full-length album, BABYMONSTER pre-released the track "FOREVER" on July 1. They also connected with fans through a global fan meeting, reaching audiences in 12 sessions across seven Asian cities. At the "Summer Sonic 2024" festival, they showcased their amazing talent to music lovers around the world.

YG commented, "We wanted to share the news of the confirmed album release with our global fans who have supported and waited for BABYMONSTER. We hope this album will connect with fans who have cheered for BABYMONSTER from afar. We are now in the final stages of this new beginning and will soon provide detailed information, including the release date."
