BTS’ Jungkook has made history on Spotify, becoming the first K-pop solo artist to reach over 7 billion streams.
As of September 18, Jungkook’s Spotify profile shows a total of more than 7 billion streams across all his tracks on the platform, making him a record-setter according to the World Music Awards (WMA). He’s not only the first K-pop solo artist to hit this milestone but also the fastest Asian artist to do so.
Even though Jungkook began his military service after his debut solo album GOLDEN was released last November, he has continued to make waves as a solo artist. He averages around 9 million streams per day on Spotify.
On his Spotify account, Jungkook’s solo single “Seven” leads with over 1.89 billion streams. The collaboration track “Left and Right” follows with more than 1 billion streams, while the title track “Standing Next to You” from GOLDEN has surpassed 880 million streams.
His second solo single “3D” has accumulated over 650 million streams, and the FIFA World Cup soundtrack “Dreamers” has reached over 430 million streams. Additionally, the webtoon OST “Stay Alive” has exceeded 310 million streams.
Jungkook now holds the record for having the most songs with over 700 million streams by any Asian solo artist, with three tracks achieving this milestone. He also leads with the highest number of songs with over 100 million streams for a K-pop solo artist, totaling 18 tracks.
Moreover, Jungkook has released three songs that have surpassed 1 billion streams each: “Seven,” “Left and Right,” and “Euphoria.” “Seven” has become the fastest song by an Asian artist to exceed 1.89 billion streams and the first K-pop solo track to do so.
