BOYNEXTDOOR’s ‘19.99’ Tops Oricon Weekly Album Chart

BOYNEXTDOOR is hitting new highs with their latest release! The group, made up of Seongho, Riu, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, I Han, and Unhak, is celebrating their third mini-album ‘19.99’ topping the Oricon Weekly Album Chart.

According to Oricon’s report on the 17th, ‘19.99’ claimed the number one spot on the weekly album rankings for the week of September 23, covering September 9 to September 15, with 134,000 copies sold.

This is the second time BOYNEXTDOOR has hit number one on the weekly chart, following their April release, ‘HOW?’ The sales for ‘19.99’ are about 75% higher than those for ‘HOW?’ in its first week.

Oricon noted, “‘19.99’s first-week sales of 134,000 copies have surpassed ‘HOW?’s 77,000 copies, setting a new record for the group.

The album has already exceeded the total Japanese sales of ‘HOW?’ in just the first week.” The album also topped Japan’s LINE Music daily album chart on the 12th and continues to hold the top position as of September 16.

BOYNEXTDOOR is making waves with ‘19.99,’ which was released on September 9. The album saw first-week sales of 759,156 copies, an increase of around 43% compared to ‘HOW?’ The title track ‘Nice Guy’ and the pre-release track ‘Parental Guidance Not Advised’ have also made their debut on the Melon weekly chart for the week of September 9 to September 15.

‘19.99’ delves into the emotions and experiences of being nineteen, a time often seen as the peak of one’s life.

The members, including Unhak who will turn twenty next year, openly share their intense feelings and thoughts about being 19.99 years old.
