Yeonjun from Tomorrow X Together (TXT) is turning heads with his new song GGUM, showing off his amazing dance skills once again.
On September 19 at 6 PM, Yeonjun will drop his first solo mixtape, GGUM. Before its official release, he teased fans with a high-difficulty dance challenge on September 13.
The challenge, shared on Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, quickly became a hit. As of midnight on the 17th, just four days after it was posted, the ‘GGUM’ challenge video had over 17.14 million views.
The challenge highlights Yeonjun‘s top-notch performance skills with smooth, sharp dance moves. The song’s catchy chorus, “chewing gum,” pairs perfectly with the groovy yet powerful choreography.
Many professional dancers have taken on the challenge, while some fans joked, “Only Yeonjun can pull this off,” calling the moves “impossible to copy.”
At midnight on the 17th, TXT‘s official social media gave fans a sneak peek of the GGUM music video by posting a photo of brightly colored gum stuck to the bottom of a shoe.
This teaser sparked curiosity about the full video, which will be revealed on September 19.
GGUM is a hip-hop track with strong electro vibes and includes a unique piano break. Yeonjun even helped plan the choreography, making sure everything, including the fun gum-chewing move, matched the energy of the song.
To celebrate his solo debut, Yeonjun will perform GGUM on music shows. He will kick things off with KBS 2TV’s Music Bank on the 20th, followed by appearances on Show! Music Core, Inkigayo, and M Countdown.
Fans are excited to see what Yeonjun has in store with his solo mixtape and performances!
