Hwasa from Mamamoo opened up about her views on marriage, but stayed mum on recent dating rumors.
On September 16, Hwasa joined the 'Hwasa’s Alcohol Interview' segment on the Giann84 channel, 'Life84.' During the chat, Giann84 mentioned that many people he works with are younger because he's getting older. Hwasa asked, “How old are you now?” and Giann84 replied, “41.”
Hwasa was surprised but complimented him, saying, “You still look young.” Giann84 joked, “I take care of myself. I’m still single. If I let myself go, I’d look like an old uncle with a big belly.”
When Hwasa asked if he wanted to get married, Giann84 said, “If a woman I like suddenly appears and says she wants to get married, I’d need to be in shape, right?” Hwasa admitted, “I’m not good at that kind of thing. I’m not good at flirting or receiving it.”
Giann84 then asked, “You’re in your prime. Will you get married?” Hwasa replied, “I don’t know. When the time comes. If a good person comes along, I’ll handle it.”
Recently, Hwasa has been rumored to be dating a businessman 12 years older than her. Hwasa’s agency, P Nation, said, “It’s difficult to confirm personal matters. We ask for your understanding.”
Hwasa’s past comments about her love life have resurfaced. On tvN's 'Life Bar' in 2018 and SBS's 'Take Care of My Refrigerator' in 2019, she shared details about her past relationships.
On 'Take Care of My Refrigerator,' she talked about her debut solo track 'Foolish' and her first love. She said, “There was only one. He was the first and the last man. We met in winter. I followed him for a year. He resisted at first, but eventually liked me. I couldn’t get away. We started dating when I moved to Seoul.”
Hwasa also shared how she would go out at any hour if he wanted something to eat. She said, “Even at 4 or 5 in the morning, if he wanted something to eat, I would go and get it. He would come out even when he was sleeping. I thought all men in the world were like that.”
Hwasa will be making a comeback on September 19 at 6 PM with her mini-album 'O'. The album reflects her positive outlook on life, with the title track 'NA' highlighting her unique charm as an independent artist.
