• Jae Park Faces Backlash After Emotional Interview About DAY6 on Zach Sang Show: "Victim Playing?"

Former DAY6 member Jae Park is facing backlash after his recent appearance on the Zach Sang Show, where he opened up about his feelings toward his time with the group and his departure from JYP Entertainment.

On September 12, Jae was a guest on the popular U.S. radio program Zach Sang Show, which has featured other K-pop stars like BTS’s Jungkook and ITZY.

During the show, Jae expressed his disappointment with DAY6’s recent mini-album Fourever, released after a three-year break. He shared, "To be honest, it hurt a little," referring to how he felt left out of the band’s comeback.

He continued, "When I saw that album, my first thought was that someone was trying to erase me from the band’s history. I spent my twenties with DAY6, and now it feels like I’m being erased."

Jae emphasized that his frustration was aimed at JYP Entertainment, not his former bandmates. "This is directed at the label, not at the members," he said.

Jae admitted that seeing anything related to DAY6 has been tough for him, as it brings back many memories. "It was hard for me to even go back to Korea. I felt anxiety and discomfort," he added, revealing how his past experiences still affect him.

Jae, who gained fame after competing on K-pop Star 1 in 2011, officially debuted with DAY6 in 2015. After struggling with psychological stress, he left DAY6 and JYP Entertainment at the end of 2021. Since then, he’s pursued a solo career under the name 'eaJ'.

However, Jae Park has often been surrounded by controversy. He has faced criticism for past inappropriate comments, including misogynistic remarks and his infamous statement about fellow singer Jamie, calling her a "thot." Fans were disappointed by his behavior, and his apology at the time was seen as insincere.

Jae’s recent comments on the Zach Sang Show have reignited criticism, with many calling him out for playing the victim. Fans expressed their frustration online, with one saying, "What an international embarrassment," reflecting the backlash he’s facing once again.
