BTS member Jungkook has sparked speculation with a message that many fans think is related to the ongoing situation between NewJeans and their agency, HYBE.
On September 14, Jungkook shared a message on his pet’s social media account, writing, “Artists are not guilty.” He also added heart emojis in blue, pink, yellow, green, and purple—colors similar to those used by NewJeans during their Powerpuff Girls collaboration.
This led some fans to believe that Jungkook‘s post was a show of support for NewJeans. Shortly after, he posted another message saying, “Don’t use them,” drawing even more attention.
In response to the growing curiosity, BigHit Music stated, “Jungkook made the post because he believes young artists should not be dragged into disputes or used as shields.”
Despite this explanation, online debates continued. Some fans speculated that Jungkook‘s message might be directed at former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, while others thought it was aimed at HYBE. However, many argued that his post was simply a message of support for the artists and shouldn’t be over-analyzed.
Meanwhile, the NewJeans members—Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein—held an emergency live broadcast on September 11, where they talked about the conflict they’ve been having with HYBE and ADOR since April. They asked for former CEO Min Hee Jin to be reinstated by September 25.
Min Hee Jin, who was removed from her CEO position last month, filed a request on September 13 with the Seoul Central District Court to hold a temporary shareholders’ meeting and regain her role as an internal director.
