• Jung Hae In: "Took My Mother to the Cannes Film Festival, She Kept Crying"

Actor Jung Hae In shared that he attended the Cannes Film Festival with his mother.

In a recent episode of the show Sso-neun Hyung featuring Ssamhae Hyung, Jung Hae In, the lead actor of the movie Veteran 2, appeared as a guest.

Shin Dong Yeob commented on Veteran 2 being selected for the 77th Cannes Film Festival, saying, "It must be unique to receive a standing ovation from so many foreigners. I felt chills just talking about it."

Jung Hae In responded, "It felt like a dream at that time. I couldn’t believe I was in that place, in that space. After it ended, the standing ovation continued for a while, and honestly, it felt great. It was so good, but after about 5 or 10 minutes, I thought maybe they could stop now."

When asked, "France definitely feels like a developed country, right? Did you invite your family?" Jung Hae In recalled, "Yes, I took my mother with me, and she watched the movie in the theater and saw me from the front row."

Shin Dong Yeob added, "As a parent, seeing your son or daughter’s work being watched by so many people abroad and receiving a standing ovation must be something," to which Jung Hae In replied, "I glanced over and saw that she kept crying. I intentionally avoided looking at her because I was worried it might affect me emotionally."

Meanwhile, Veteran 2 is an action-crime drama about Detective Seo Do-chul (played by Hwang Jung-min) from the violent crime investigation team, who, along with rookie detective Park Seon-woo (played by Jung Hae In), tracks down a serial killer who has caused a stir.

As of the 14th, the film has surpassed 1 million viewers.
