Get ready for an intense new drama! Park Hyung Sik and Heo Joon Ho have been confirmed as the lead stars in SBS's upcoming series Treasure Island, slated to air in 2025.
SBS announced on the 13th that the two actors will headline the highly anticipated drama, written by Lee Myung-hee (Money Flower) and directed by Jin Chang-gyu (Military Prosecutor Doberman). Treasure Island revolves around a gripping story of betrayal, ambition, and power.
It follows the journey of a man who hacks into a slush fund account worth a jaw-dropping 2 trillion won to survive, only to be killed by a political figure who later realizes he’s lost the entire fortune.
The drama promises intense action, mystery, and twists that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
Park Hyung Sik will play Seo Dong-joo, the Head of External Cooperation for Daesan Group’s Chairman’s Office. While people say, "Seo Dong-joo lives and dies for Daesan's interests," his true ambition lies in taking over the entire company. With a role packed with ambition, intellect, and charm, Park Hyung Sik is ready to show a new side of himself. "I’m excited to portray a character with such depth and complexity. On the other hand, Heo Joon Ho will portray Yum Jang-sun, a former National Intelligence Service Director turned prestigious law professor. Beneath his esteemed image, Yum is the ultimate puppet master, controlling the world of money and power behind the scenes. "Yum Jang-sun is a character who thrives on control, and I look forward to exploring the dark sides of his personality," said Heo Joon Ho.
