BTS’ RM, who is currently serving in the military, shared his feelings with fans as he celebrated his 30th birthday.
On September 12, RM posted a heartfelt message on Weverse, thanking his fans, saying, "To the people I love, and who love me! I’m 30 now." He expressed his gratitude for all the birthday wishes, adding, "Thank you so much for sending me heartfelt birthday wishes on a day when I sometimes felt like nothing myself."
He continued by saying, "There are so many things I want to say at this moment, but today I’ll let a few pictures on Instagram speak for me instead."
RM also shared an update on his time in the military. "I’ve now reached the halfway point of my military life. It feels like that halfway point when I was out of breath running 3 km at Nonsan Training Center. It's fleeting."
He reassured fans, saying, "After the snow falls, the year changes, the days get warmer, and the cherry blossoms bloom, I’ll greet you all with energy."
RM enlisted in December last year and is currently serving in the military band. On his birthday, he also donated 100 million KRW (about $75,000) to a veterans' fund to support the welfare of veterans and their families among uniformed service members.
