BTS' Jungkook is making waves on major Billboard charts in the U.S. once again!
According to Billboard’s latest update on September 14, Jungkook’s solo hit ‘Seven’ is holding steady at 73rd on the ‘Global 200’ and 42nd on the ‘Global (Excluding the U.S.)’ charts. ‘Seven’ has climbed 10 spots on the ‘Global 200’ and 2 spots on the ‘Global (Excluding the U.S.)’ charts from last week, marking an impressive 60 weeks on both charts.
In addition, Jungkook’s track ‘Standing Next to You’ has jumped 52 spots to 143rd on the ‘Global 200’ and 39 spots to 84th on the ‘Global (Excluding the U.S.)’ chart. This track has now spent 38 weeks on the ‘Global 200’ and 44 weeks on the ‘Global (Excluding the U.S.)’ charts, proving Jungkook’s strong global impact.
Both ‘Seven’ and ‘Standing Next to You’ have shown remarkable staying power and streaming strength worldwide, maintaining their positions on the charts for extended periods.
Jungkook has made significant achievements with a total of 17 tracks on the ‘Global 200’ and 18 tracks on the ‘Global (Excluding the U.S.)’ charts, based on streaming and digital sales from over 200 countries and regions (excluding group solo tracks).
He has also seen three of his songs—‘Seven,’ ‘Standing Next to You,’ and ‘3D’—reach number one on both charts. Plus, he has placed five songs in the top 10 of the ‘Global 200’ and seven songs in the top 10 of the ‘Global (Excluding the U.S.)’ chart.
Previously, ‘Seven’ held the number one spot for nine weeks on the ‘Global (Excluding the U.S.)’ chart and seven weeks on the ‘Global 200’ chart. Jungkook set a new record as the first Asian artist to hold simultaneous number one positions on both charts for seven weeks in a row.
‘Seven’ also set new debut records on Billboard’s ‘Global 200’ chart with 217.1 million weekly streams for a solo artist and 269,000 sales worldwide, marking the highest debut figures ever.
It became the first male artist globally to exceed 100 million streams for five consecutive weeks on the ‘Global 200’ chart and set a record for the longest consecutive streak of over 100 million streams on the ‘Global (Excluding the U.S.)’ chart.
