Lee Young Ji Set to Host KBS’s ‘The Seasons’ as Its Youngest MC Ever, Replacing Zico

Lee Young Ji, a standout artist of the MZ generation, is set to make history as the youngest-ever MC for KBS’s late-night music talk show, The Seasons.

KBS announced on September 9 that The Seasons will debut a new seasonal format for their late-night music programs.

Since its start in February last year with Jay Park’s Drive, followed by Choi Jung Hoon’s Night Park, AKMU’s One Night One Night, Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet, and Zico’s Artist, the show has featured various charismatic musician MCs.

On September 6, KBS hinted at the new season’s MC during the final episode of Zico’s Artist, building excitement among fans. Viewers are eagerly anticipating the new season hosted by Lee Young Ji.

Lee Young Ji has impressed audiences with her standout performances on Mnet’s hip-hop competition shows High School Rapper 3 and Show Me the Money 11, where she became the first female winner.

Her debut EP, 16 Fantasy, and its hit track ‘Small Girl’ have also been highly successful, topping charts in Korea and making an impact on the Billboard charts.

Known for her natural charm and eloquence, Lee Young Ji is a popular multi-entertainer. As the new MC, she’s expected to bring her signature energy and a fresh, serious musician’s perspective, creating exciting new interactions with a diverse lineup of artists from industry veterans to newcomers.

The Seasons with Lee Young Ji will premiere on KBS 2TV on September 27 at 10 PM.
