BTS’s Jin Shows Warmth and Generosity Towards Stray Dogs Despite Allergies, Proving His Charitable Heart

BTS member Jin has once again shown his big heart, reinforcing his image as a true ‘charitable hero.

On August 31, Jin appeared on Japan’s popular charity show ‘24-Hour TV,’ which airs every summer on NTV. This show is known for its unique shirts each year, with proceeds going to charity.

During the ‘Everyone’s Zoo‘ segment, Jin, known as the ‘Visual King,’ volunteered to bathe and groom stray dogs alongside Aiba from the famous Japanese group Arashi. On September 7, a full version of this segment featuring Jin was broadcast.

The filming took place in Korea, where the ‘Everyone’s Zoo’ team captured Jin’s warm and cheerful spirit as he cared for the stray dogs. Jin and Aiba had great chemistry, sparking a lot of global attention.

Jin shared why he joined the program, saying, “I hope this inspires others who might not have considered volunteering. If they see me doing it, maybe they’ll think about helping stray dogs too.” His kindness was clear to see.

He also expressed gratitude, saying, “I’m a successful idol because of my fans. It’s thanks to their support that I can be here and participate in this program.”

After Jin’s appearance was announced on August 17, the ‘Everyone’s Zoo‘ segment quickly became a top search term on Yahoo Japan, and ‘Jin’ trended on X (formerly Twitter) and Tsuiran Japan. The show’s viewership increased, reaching a 12.5% rating, up 1.2% from last year.

Jin, who has been caring for stray dogs for 12 years, also released a heartfelt song called ‘This Night,’ about a lost pet, which resonated with many. He has donated supplies to animal shelters and continues to support animal causes, inspiring his fans to do the same.

Rainbow Shelter, which cares for stray dogs, shared on Instagram that despite his allergies, Jin took medication to volunteer. They thanked Jin and Aiba for handling the challenging tasks, including cleaning dog kennels, even in the hot weather. They also mentioned how Jin and Aiba showed genuine interest in the dogs’ rescue stories.

In addition to his charity work, Jin recently surprised 110 staff members of the Netflix show ‘Dae Hwan Jang Gi An Jang‘ with a luxury squid gift set on the last filming day on Ulleungdo. Studio Modak shared the news, with a staff member commenting, “It’s amazing to receive a gift from superstar ‘Jin’ during filming!”

Jin also covered the cost of a staff dinner for MBC’s ‘Thank You for Resting,’ a gesture revealed by the show’s PD Kim Myung Jin, despite his busy schedule.
