Byun Yo Han’s ‘Black Out’ hits highest ratings as Jang Nara’s ‘Good Partner’ sees decline

MBC‘s drama ‘Black Out‘ has just hit its highest viewership ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, the 7th episode of ‘Black Out‘, which aired on September 6, reached a nationwide rating of 5.7%.

The show started with a 2.8% rating for its first episode, but thanks to positive reviews and word-of-mouth, its ratings steadily climbed, doubling by the 7th episode.

‘Black Out’ is a gripping crime thriller about a young man who’s wrongly accused of a murder where no body was found.

After being convicted, he sets out to uncover the truth ten years later. The series, directed by Byun Young Joo in her drama debut, stars Byun Yo Han and Go Joon.

Meanwhile, SBS’s ‘Good Partner‘, which used to hold the top spot, saw its ratings dip. The 12th episode recorded 14.4%, down from its peak of 17.2% in episode 9, showing signs of slowing down.
