    TWICE’s Tzuyu has shared her admiration for Sunmi’s solo performances and her own aspirations.

    On September 5, Tzuyu held a press conference at the Crystal Ballroom Hall in Lotte Hotel World, Seoul, to celebrate her solo debut album aboutTZU.

    Tzuyu’s new album, aboutTZU, blends the English word “about” with “TZUYU,” symbolizing her shift from being the youngest member of TWICE to a solo artist. The album is all about showcasing Tzuyu’s personal artistry and growth.

    When discussing her solo debut, Tzuyu admitted, “It was tough preparing and handling everything for the album on my own. Capturing and expressing different emotions was harder than I expected.”

    Tzuyu also talked about the influence of other female solo artists on her work. She said, “Watching Sunmi’s performances, which are so captivating, made me think, ‘I want to create my own stage too.’ Seeing the amazing solo stages of Nayeon and Jihyo also motivated me to work hard on my own preparation.”

    Tzuyu’s solo debut album aboutTZU will be available on various online music platforms starting September 6 at 1 PM.
