NewJeans is on fire! The rising girl group is showing no signs of slowing down as they continue to make waves on the major U.S. Billboard charts.
According to Billboard’s latest rankings, released on September 4, NewJeans’ Japan debut single “Supernatural” is holding strong.
The track landed at No. 100 on the Global (excluding U.S.) chart and No. 192 on the Global 200, marking an impressive 10 consecutive weeks on both charts.
Their momentum doesn’t stop there. The group’s hit single “How Sweet,” which dropped in May, is still going strong. The song ranked No. 120 on the Global (excluding U.S.) chart, maintaining its position for a solid 14 weeks. To top it all off, “How Sweet” just surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, solidifying NewJeans’ global impact.
Back in Korea, NewJeans is continuing their chart-topping streak. On Melon’s August monthly chart, “How Sweet” claimed the No. 3 spot, while “Supernatural” ranked at No. 6, and “Bubble Gum” rounded out the Top 10 at No. 10. In total, 10 of the group’s songs made it onto the chart, showcasing their unstoppable popularity.
And it doesn’t stop there! On the Bugs weekly chart (for the week of August 26 to September 1), “Supernatural” regained its No. 1 position after previously dominating the top spot for six weeks straight starting in July.
With all this success, it’s no surprise that NewJeans has been nominated for ‘Best Group’ and ‘Best K-Pop’ at the upcoming 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (2024 MTV VMA) in the U.S.
NewJeans is proving themselves to be a major force in the global K-pop scene, and fans can’t wait to see what’s next for these rising superstars!
