BTS‘s Jin is warming hearts with his thoughtful gesture.
On September 5, Studio Modak, the production company for the upcoming show ‘Dae Hwan Jang Kian Jang’, shared a touching story about Jin.
“World star Jin surprised all 110 staff members with premium squid from Ulleungdo, and he paid for it out of his own pocket! Thanks to his gift on the last day of filming, everyone felt a sense of warmth,” the production team revealed.
They added, “Jin was attentive to the staff throughout filming and worked incredibly hard. His kindness really showed why he’s world-class. We’re so thankful for his generosity, and we hope to work with him again!”
‘Dae Hwan Jang Kian Jang‘ is a Netflix variety show set to air in 2025. Jin‘s surprise came during the final shoot in Ulleungdo, where he also put up a banner that said, “To all the staff of ‘Dae Hwan Jang Kian Jang,’ thank you for your hard work.” He gifted them squid, a local delicacy, leaving a lasting impression on the crew.
In the show, writer and broadcaster Kian84 runs a unique bed and breakfast for young people in Ulleungdo.
Jin, who completed his military service on June 12, has been actively engaging with fans since his discharge. He served as an assistant instructor in the 5th Infantry Division and even earned the title of special warrior for his excellent performance.
Right after his discharge, Jin connected with fans by holding a solo fan meeting as part of BTS‘s 11th-anniversary event, ‘2024 FESTA‘. He also represented BTS on the global stage as a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
Jin‘s return to variety shows has also been successful, with his appearance on MBC‘s ‘It’s a Relief If You Rest Well‘ gaining attention. He continues to challenge himself with his first solo variety show, ‘Run Jin Run’, proving he’s ready for anything.
