BTS’ Jin Charms Viewers on Japan’s ’24-Hour TV’ – Full Segment to Air September 7

BTSJin has once again captured hearts with his recent appearance on Japan’s popular charity program, 24-Hour TV.

On August 31, Jin teamed up with Arashi’s Aiba for a special segment titled “Everyone’s Zoo,” which saw the two stars volunteering to care for rescue dogs.

The segment, filmed in Korea, showcased Jin’s signature warmth as he bathed and groomed the animals alongside Aiba, leaving fans buzzing.

Known for his radiant visuals and kind-hearted personality, Jin’s appearance quickly sparked a frenzy online. As soon as the segment aired, “Jin-kun” (ジンくん) soared to the No. 2 spot on Japan’s X (formerly Twitter) and climbed the global real-time trends as well, proving his massive influence across borders.

In anticipation of his appearance, the preview released on August 17 sent fans into overdrive, shooting Everyone’s Zoo to the top of Yahoo Japan’s search rankings. The excitement only grew when the full segment aired, with ‘Jin-kun’ trending on X and Tsuiran Japan, and 24-Hour TV pulling in a 12.5% viewership rating—a notable 1.2% increase from last year.

The chemistry between Jin and Aiba had viewers laughing out loud. At one point, Jin joked while bathing a dog, “I wish someone would bathe me too.” Aiba playfully responded, “Shall I bathe you?” pretending to wash Jin’s hair, to which Jin laughed and replied, “I’m sorry.” The lighthearted banter had fans eager for more.

But there’s good news for fans who want to see the entire segment! The official X account for Everyone’s Zoo announced, “Thank you for watching. We’ll be airing the full version of the Korea-Japan collaboration with BTSJin that wasn’t fully shown on 24-Hour TV. Tune in on Saturday, September 7 at 7 PM.”

Jin’s charm isn’t limited to Japan, though. His recent appearance on MBC’s If You Rest, It’s a Relief on August 19 broke records with a 6.4% viewership rating, the show’s highest ever, and it continues to dominate its time slot for 16 consecutive episodes.

Before his military enlistment, Jin also appeared on SBS’s Running Man in November 2022, where his episode saw a jump in ratings, hitting 4.8% and reaffirming his global superstar status.

With his heartwarming personality and undeniable star power, Jin’s influence continues to grow globally, one appearance at a time.
