  • Former ‘Singles Inferno’ Contestant Reveals Suffering from Stalking and Mental Distress, Announces Break from YouTube Channel

A former Singles Inferno contestant and well-known YouTuber has shared that he's been struggling with severe mental distress due to privacy invasion and stalking. He has now decided to take a break from his online activities to focus on his well-being.

On December 3, his agency, Kick the Hurdle Studio, posted an official statement announcing that his YouTube channel, Dex101, will be taking a longer break starting from December 2, 2024.

The agency explained, "Despite a busy schedule over the past four years, Dex has worked hard on the channel. However, recent events have made it clear that more restructuring is needed."

It was later confirmed that the artist in question is Dex (Kim Jin Young), who became known after his appearance on the popular Netflix dating show Singles Inferno.

The agency also revealed that they’ve been dealing with the unauthorized use of Dex's content, including his name, image, and videos.

They warned that such actions violate copyright law and could result in legal consequences, urging that all illegally used works be taken down by December 10, 2024.

In addition to the copyright issues, the agency expressed their deep concern over ongoing stalking. They reported that Dex has been followed to his home and targeted with unauthorized photos and videos during his personal time.

The agency also condemned the spread of false information and rumors about Dex, which have caused mental distress not only to him but also to his family. They stated that they will take legal action against anyone involved in these harmful behaviors.

This announcement comes after Dex’s appearance on Zombieverse: New Blood, which was released on Netflix on November 19.
