BTS leader RM's documentary is set to premiere at the Busan International Film Festival, but unfortunately, RM won’t be there in person.
On September 3rd, the 29th Busan International Film Festival, which will take place from October 2nd to 11th, revealed at a press conference held at the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry that RM’s documentary, RM: Right Place, Wrong Person (directed by Lee Seok Jun), has been invited to the festival.
The film, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of RM’s solo album and features personal moments from the eight months leading up to his military enlistment, will be showcased in the Open Cinema section. It will be screened at an outdoor theater.
Festival programmer Kang So Won shared, “We believe this documentary will bring joy to the audience in the Open Cinema section. We wanted to present a variety of films and think this one will be enjoyable for both fans and the general public.”
Kang also noted, “Unfortunately, RM will be serving in the military and won’t be able to attend. However, many other artists featured in the film will be there, along with the director, to greet the audience.”
The Busan International Film Festival will open with the Netflix film Jung, Ran (directed by Kim Sang Man) and close with Journey of the Soul (directed by Eric Khoo).
