    LE SSERAFIM is making waves with their new song 'CRAZY,' setting impressive records on Spotify and marking the start of a global hit.

    As of August 31, Spotify's latest chart shows LE SSERAFIM’s (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) title track 'CRAZY' from their mini album has reached 61st place on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart. It achieved the highest ranking among new entries on this chart on the same day.

    On its first day, 'CRAZY' scored an incredible 2,036,516 streams. It is the only K-pop girl group song this year to hit over 2 million streams on its debut day. 'CRAZY' has also charted in the 'Daily Top Songs' in 21 countries and regions, including the U.S., Canada, and Japan, proving its global appeal.

    The U.S. response has been particularly explosive. 'CRAZY' debuted at 66th on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs US,' setting a new record for entry rankings. The U.S. contributed the largest share of streams, with 28% (577,913 streams) of the total 2,036,516 streams coming from there.

    This surpasses the previous daily streaming record of 535,924 streams set by their track 'EASY' in the U.S. Spotify charts. Considering 'EASY' had notable success on the Billboard Hot 100, this new milestone is even more impressive.

    Hyun Bin, who first rose to fame in My Name is Kim Sam-soon, took the time to reflect on the character that made him a household name. He shared, “I was just following the script; there were no personal opinions added to the character of Hyun Jin-heon. At that time, I knew Hyun Jin-heon was portrayed as a ‘bad boy,’ and the way it was expressed was different from today’s standards.”

    With My Name is Kim Sam-soon now being re-released as part of Wavve's "New Classic" project, fans are revisiting the 2005 drama, and the character of Hyun Jin-heon is under fresh scrutiny. Director Kim Yun-cheol even admitted that the "prince on a white horse" and "bad boy" tropes that once worked in 2005 don’t quite match today's sensibilities, leading to edits in the 2024 version.
