• LE SSERAFIM's Hong Eunchae Apologizes for Live Broadcast Slip-Up, "Sorry for the Disappointment, I Will Be More Careful"

Hong Eunchae of LE SSERAFIM has issued an apology for a mistake made during a live broadcast.

On August 29, LE SSERAFIM held a showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to celebrate their fourth mini-album, "CRAZY."

Hong Eunchae addressed the controversy surrounding a past live broadcast slip-up where she made an insensitive comment to a high school senior fan.

During the live stream, she said, "You're in school, right? It must be tough for you," which was criticized as thoughtless.

Hong Eunchae admitted, "I was too relaxed thinking it was just a communication opportunity with fans. I should have been more careful, especially with people I’m close to. I didn’t think deeply about it."

She added, "I’m sorry for disappointing you with my immature behavior. I will work on being more cautious and responsible."

Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM's new mini-album "CRAZY" is out on August 30. The album's message is "Let’s just go crazy with LE SSERAFIM," and it’s their first release in six months since their third mini-album "EASY" in February.

The title track "CRAZY" captures the excitement of meeting something that drives you wild. It connects with the thrill of experiencing exhilarating moments.

The album features five tracks: "Chasing Lightning," "Pierrot," "1-800-Hot-N-Fun," and "Reasons for Not Going Crazy."

"Chasing Lightning" was partially featured in the album trailer released on the 13th. "Pierrot" is a hip-hop track that samples Kim Wan Sun's "Pierrot Laughs at Us," blending old and new elements.

"1-800-Hot-N-Fun" was previewed during fan meetings in Japan and features contributions from producer BloodPop, known for his work with Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé. The final track, "Reasons for Not Going Crazy," credits member Huh Yunjin as the main producer.

"CRAZY" will drop on August 30th at 1 PM.

  • Former Crayon Pop's ChoA Opens Up About Her Struggle with Cervical Cancer: 'I Dream of the Day I Can Have a Drink with My Husband Again'"

ChoA, former member of the girl group Crayon Pop, has bravely shared her ongoing battle with cervical cancer and her emotional journey.

On January 28, ChoA posted a heartfelt update on her social media, explaining her struggles. "I usually laugh, talk, and live my life as usual, but there are moments when I suddenly face a reality that isn’t like before, and it gets tough," she shared.

She went on to say, "Recently, something difficult happened, and in the past, I would have had a drink with my husband to shake it off. I really miss being able to do that."

ChoA admitted that she still can’t fully believe her diagnosis. "When I face the reality I’ve been avoiding, my heart that I’ve built up breaks down," she said. "But the life I’m living now, which I’m still enjoying, is something that someone else might be wishing for. I try to gather my thoughts again with gratitude."

She also expressed hope for the future, saying, "Lately, I dream of a day five years from now when I’ll be declared cancer-free and be able to have a drink with my husband after putting the kids to bed, after all the struggles. It’s been almost two years, so I believe the day I get that clean bill of health will come soon."

ChoA married a businessman in 2021, six years older than her. In October 2023, she revealed her cervical cancer diagnosis, sharing that she had been diagnosed during a routine check-up in her first year of marriage.

Despite everything, ChoA remains hopeful, noting that the cancer was smaller than expected during surgery, and she was able to preserve her fertility—a step closer to her dream of becoming a mother.
