• BTS’ Jin Sets Record as 'Sold-Out King' with Gucci Items Flying Off the Shelves Worldwide

BTSJin is once again proving his 'Sold-Out King' status with a record-breaking sell-out streak after being named Gucci’s global ambassador.

Gucci announced on August 8 that Jin would be their new global ambassador. The announcement featured Jin wearing pieces from Gucci's upcoming 2025 S/S men's collection, which aren't even available yet.

The news caused a massive spike in traffic to Gucci’s website, which crashed due to the high demand. Jin quickly became the top search topic related to Gucci in the U.S. and beyond.

Fashion magazine Harper's BAZAAR showcased Jin in a Gucci photoshoot, calling him the ‘Visual King.’ In South Korea, items like a Gucci chain necklace (760,000 KRW) and a single G motif earring (470,000 KRW) worn by Jin sold out instantly, highlighting his powerful influence.

In the U.S., a Marina chain necklace worth 2.16 million KRW also sold out fast, while similar items disappeared from stores in Japan. The black backpack priced at 4.07 million KRW, which Jin wore, also sold out quickly.

Jin’s Gucci items have been in high demand across Japan, with stores facing shortages and a flood of inquiries. The September issue of Harper's BAZAAR featuring Jin on the cover became a top-seller on Aladin and Yes24, grabbing the top three spots.

Rakuten, Japan's major e-commerce site, saw Jin’s cover issue sell out immediately upon pre-order, further proving his massive popularity.

Jin set a new record for the most 'likes' on Gucci’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. His ambassadorship post got 112,000 likes, surpassing Harry Styles’ previous record of 111,000 likes.

On Instagram, Jin’s Gucci welcome post earned over 3.5 million likes and more than 40,000 comments, breaking records for the most engagement on any Gucci post.

Jin's influence has been so strong that all related Gucci posts now rank in the top 20 on Gucci’s Instagram history.

Having completed his military service as a distinguished soldier and instructor, Jin was honorably discharged on June 12. On July 8, he was announced as the first global ambassador for French jewelry brand FRED. Items he wore, including a necklace worth 134.6 million KRW and other pieces, sold out rapidly, proving his explosive popularity.

Jin’s global impact was also seen with FRED’s website crashing due to traffic spikes. His influence as a 'Global Sold-Out King' and 'Top Global Superstar' continues to shine.

Jin is also a promotional ambassador for Seoul Tourism, with campaign videos rolling out.

His recent appearance on MBC's ‘Pook Da Hyung’ set a new viewership record, maintaining a 16-week streak as the top-rated variety show across all channels.

  • Park Bo Gum Takes on a Big Challenge as MC of ‘Cantabile’ — Here's Why KBS Chose an Actor Over a Singer

KBS is getting ready to shake up its 2025 spring variety lineup, and one of the most talked-about shows is Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile!

On March 7, KBS held a press conference at the KBS International Conference Room in Yeouido, Seoul, to introduce its upcoming variety programs. Several CPs (chief producers) attended the event, including Park Seok-hyung, who is directing Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile.

During the event, CP Park Seok-hyung explained why Park Bo Gum was chosen as the host. "Having Park Bo Gum as the MC was a bit of a challenge for us. Respect is crucial in a music talk show, and we felt that Park Bo Gum, with his deep love for music, would be able to communicate well with musicians."

This decision is a big first for KBS—until now, the network’s signature music talk show, The Seasons, has always been hosted by singers.

Now, with an actor like Park Bo Gum taking the lead, the show is expected to bring a new and refreshing vibe to the genre.

Alongside Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile, KBS is bringing back some beloved shows and exciting new programs:

Kang Ho Dong will return as the host of Study and Nolbu, a quiz talk show for parents and children.

The Problematic Men of the Rooftop Room, which ran for seven years starting in 2018, is making a comeback.

Ballunteer will feature former soccer star Lee Young-pyo and singer Lee Chan-won as they take on hilarious futsal challenges.

Actress Lee Min-jung will host Going and Coming Lee Min-jung, a wholesome rural reality show where she sells goods with other actors.

Meanwhile, KBS’s legendary comedy show Gag Concert is officially returning on March 16, moving to prime time on Sundays at 9:20 PM KST.

Here’s when you can catch these exciting new and returning shows:
Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile – Every Friday at 10 PM KST, starting March 14
Gag Concert – March 16 (Sundays at 9:20 PM KST)
Study and Nolbu – March 31 (Mondays at 9:50 PM KST)
The Problematic Men of the Rooftop Room – April 3 (Thursdays at 8:30 PM KST)
Going and Coming Lee Min-jung – May 23 (Fridays at 10 PM KST)
