Taemin from SHINee has set the record straight about rumors of him starting a clothing brand. On the 23rd, his agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, clarified that recent online speculation about Taemin launching a clothing line is false.
The confusion began on the 22nd, when Taemin's team revealed that he had personally designed T-shirts as a special gift for fans. These T-shirts were given out through a lottery at an exhibition in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, which started on the same day.
Some fans thought Taemin might be starting a clothing brand because of this event, but that’s not the case. Taemin’s team explained, "Taemin made these T-shirts as a gesture of thanks to his fans after joining a new agency. However, there was a mix-up with the clothing manufacturer, who listed the T-shirts under a different brand, causing confusion."
The agency added, "The manufacturer has apologized to Taemin and us and promised to prevent such errors in the future. We will also ensure our partners avoid similar mistakes."
Taemin addressed the issue on his social media on the 22nd, saying, "I’m not starting a clothing business. These T-shirts were just a gift for my fans, not for sale. I’m sorry for any confusion and will continue to work hard and show appreciation. Thank you for your support."
