• BTS Jin’s “The Astronaut” Dominates Shazam Japan Charts for 11 Days Straight

    BTS Jin has shown incredible popularity by topping Shazam's Japan charts for 11 days in a row. His solo debut single, "The Astronaut," led Shazam’s 'Japan TOP 200' chart from July 30 to August 9, marking an impressive 344 days at number one overall.

    Since its release, "The Astronaut" has been a chart-topper multiple times, first reclaiming the top spot on April 5 and again on June 7. It held the number one position for four days in June and five more days later that month, showcasing its streaming strength.

    As of August 22 at 6 AM, "The Astronaut" has achieved over 17.08 million Shazams, reinforcing its status as a 'Shazam King.' Jin’s previous solo track, "Yours," has also surpassed 13.42 million Shazams, making Jin the only artist with two tracks over 13 million Shazams.'

    Upon its release, "The Astronaut" also made a big splash on Shazam’s 'Global TOP 200,' topping the chart for a record-breaking 129 days.

    This surpasses the previous record of 102 days set by "Yours," marking the longest time at number one in K-pop history.

    Jin remains the first and only K-pop solo artist to have two solo tracks reach number one, and his 60-day consecutive record highlights his global impact.

    As of August 22, "The Astronaut" has amassed over 483.42 million streams on Spotify and continues to lead Argentina’s 'Top 40 Kpop' chart for 94 weeks.

    Released on October 28, 2022, and created in collaboration with Coldplay, "The Astronaut" remains a beloved track as it nears its two-year anniversary, continuing to break records and attract global attention.

  • BTS's Jimin Breaks Records in Japan with "Who" as it Earns Prestigious 'Gold' Streaming Certification

    BTS’s Jimin is once again proving his global dominance, especially in Japan, where his solo music continues to break records!

    Jimin's hit song "Who", from his second album MUSE, has just been awarded the prestigious Gold streaming certification from the Japan Record Association (RIAJ).

    This honor comes after "Who" surpassed a remarkable 50 million streams in February, making it the first solo song by Jimin to receive this certification in Japan!

    The Japan Record Association certifies music based on total streams, with Gold for 50 million streams, Platinum for 100 million, and Diamond for a massive 500 million.

    This achievement adds another significant milestone to Jimin’s growing solo career.

    Previously, Jimin also earned a Platinum certification for his first album FACE (for 250,000 units shipped) and a Gold certification for MUSE (for over 100,000 units shipped).

    With the Gold streaming certification for "Who", Jimin now holds a total of three prestigious certifications from the Japan Record Association, solidifying his place as a solo artist.

    Not only that, but "Who" made waves on the Billboard charts, staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for an impressive 33 weeks, setting a record for the longest-charting K-pop solo song! It also spent 32 weeks on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, showing just how much love fans have for his music.
