ZEROBASEONE, the rising boy group with members Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, Park Gunwook, and Han Yujin, is taking a firm stand against malicious posts and privacy violations.
On August 20th, their agency WAKEONE issued a statement via their official social media, declaring, "If any illegal posts or acts targeting our artists are found, we will use all legal means, both domestically and internationally, to ensure the offenders face justice."
WAKEONE revealed that they have been closely monitoring all platforms, including YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and online communities, in collaboration with Korean law firm Sejong and U.S. legal experts. They have gathered substantial evidence to support legal action against those responsible for harmful posts and illegal activities related to ZEROBASEONE.
The agency also mentioned that they have filed police reports with the collected evidence against individuals who have attempted to contact the members directly or trespassed into their residences using illegally obtained personal information. These actions have endangered the safety and privacy of the artists. Some cases have already been investigated, and legal penalties have been imposed.
WAKEONE made it clear that they are committed to protecting their artists’ rights, honor, and privacy. They stressed, "We will continue our monitoring efforts and make sure that no illegal activity goes unpunished. There will be no leniency or settlements under any circumstances."
Meanwhile, fans can look forward to ZEROBASEONE’s upcoming release, their fourth mini-album Cinema Paradiso, dropping on the 26th.
