Hyeri, the former Girl’s Day member turned actress, shared her thoughts on her ideal type and more in a fun chat with Dex.
On August 16, Hyeri appeared on the YouTube channel '117' in a video titled “What’s Up With You? You Keep Becoming ‘Dexon’ in Front of Hyeri,” where she opened up about her experiences and Dex couldn’t help but flirt.
Dex started by praising Hyeri, saying, “You look 100 times better in person. I thought you’d be more mature, but you feel like a little sister.” He then revealed they share the same birthday, adding, “I’ve never met anyone with the same birthday as me.”
Hyeri, who debuted at just 17, shared how she got her start in the industry. “I wasn’t a trainee or preparing to be an idol. I got lucky when I was cast. A friend asked me to fill in at an audition, so I went and ended up debuting with Girl’s Day just two months later.”
While introducing her fridge, Hyeri revealed her love for kimchi stew, saying, “I love it so much I could eat it for all three meals a day.” Dex immediately connected, saying, “Kimchi stew is my soul food too. Do you like tofu?” Hyeri replied, “I love it with rice cakes in it.”
When Hyeri mentioned she loves kimchi stew with pork belly, Dex nearly jumped, saying, “I almost hugged you just now. My perfect kimchi stew recipe needs pork belly with 70-80% fat. That’s where all the deliciousness comes from.”
Dex then asked about her ideal type. Hyeri responded, “He should be kind and meticulous. It’s important to find someone who shares your preferences and gets upset by the same things. If I think someone is cool, then everything about them seems cool. It’s crucial to find someone fun to talk to.”
Dex jokingly replied, “I’ve never been told I’m fun, maybe that’s why I’m not popular.” Hyeri reassured him, saying, “I saw you at the Blue Dragon Series Awards, and you looked the coolest there. Maybe you just don’t realize it.”
After the video was released, Hyeri took to Instagram to thank Dex, saying, “Thank you for inviting me. Dex, thank you for keeping your promise to come to the premiere. It was touching.”
