• Three Former FIFTY FIFTY Members Sign Exclusive Contracts with IOK Company Amid Dispute

Three former members of FIFTY FIFTY, who are currently in a dispute with their old agency, have signed new contracts with IOK Company.

On August 12, IOK Company announced that it has set up a new label called MASSIVE E&C. The label will now represent Saena, Aran, and Sio, who were previously part of FIFTY FIFTY. The three stars will be launching a new idol group under this label and might start their activities later this year.

FIFTY FIFTY gained major success with their hit song "Cupid" last year. The track soared to 17th on the Billboard Hot 100, 8th on the Billboard Global 200, and 5th on the Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.).

Saena, who created the catchy choreography for "Cupid," helped spark the viral "TikTok Dance Challenge." Aran and Sio also played a big role with their unique voices and skills, boosting the song's popularity both locally and globally.

IOK Company aims to make a big impact in the music world with this new addition. A representative from the company said, "We are excited to support these talented and passionate members as they reach new heights on the global stage. We hope to create more success stories with the key figures behind 'Cupid.'"

IOK Company is a major player in the entertainment industry, covering everything from management and film production to new media and academia. They currently represent famous stars like Jo In Sung, Go Hyun Jung, Shin Hye Sun, Moon Chae Won, Kim Ha Neul, and Chae Jong Hyeop.

  • EXO's Xiumin blocked from performing on KBS’s ‘Music Bank’? His agency says the broadcast station won’t even respond

Xiumin’s agency, ONE HUNDRED, has spoken out about his unexpected exclusion from KBS 2TV’s Music Bank.

On March 4, the agency released an official statement, saying, “Xiumin, under INB100, is preparing for his solo comeback with Interview X on March 10, his first in two years and six months."

They added, "We have tried multiple times to reach out to KBS to secure a stage for him, but they have completely ignored us.”

The agency also revealed shocking details, stating, “Recently, KBS unofficially told us that Xiumin cannot appear on Music Bank or any programs where SM Entertainment artists are also performing.”

They continued, “We have repeatedly contacted KBS, asking them to put the artist and his fans first, but they won’t even respond.”

ONE HUNDRED strongly criticized the situation, saying, “As a public broadcast station, KBS should not be making decisions based on a specific company’s stance."

They added, "This is extremely unfair. We have done everything we can to resolve this, and we’re deeply disappointed to have to break this news to fans.”

Despite the setback, the agency reassured fans, promising, “Even if Xiumin can’t appear on KBS, we won’t give up. We’ll find even better opportunities for him to showcase his performances in front of fans.”

Meanwhile, Xiumin, who moved to INB100 (a subsidiary of ONE HUNDRED LABEL) in 2023, is set to release his second mini-album, Interview X, on March 10.

Fans are now waiting to see how this situation unfolds.
